Stoichiometry is the quantitative relationship between the reactants and products in a chemical reaction. It involves the study of the amounts of substances that react and are formed in a chemical reaction. The term "stoichiometry" comes from the Greek words "stoikheion," meaning "element," and "metron," meaning "measure."
