The Nintendo 3DS era (2011–2020) gave us some of the greatest games of all time: The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds , Fire Emblem Awakening , Pokémon X & Y , and Animal Crossing: New Leaf . But as Nintendo officially shut down the 3DS eShop in March 2023, a pressing question has emerged for gamers: How do we preserve and play these classics now?
