Do not watch it on Filmyzilla. You will ruin a great film with a bad print, break the law, and disrespect the hard work of 100+ crew members. Pay the small fee. Stream it legally. If you cannot afford it, wait for a TV premiere or a free legal stream.
Rating (for the film): ★★★★☆ (4/5) Rating (for the Filmyzilla experience): ☆☆☆☆☆ (0/5) The Film: A Underrated Gem of Post-Recession Satire Released in 2010, Phas Gaye Re Obama remains one of Bollywood’s most overlooked political comedies. Directed by Subhash Kapoor (who later made the excellent Jolly LLB ), this film is a razor-sharp, hilarious takedown of the 2008 global financial crisis, seen through the uniquely chaotic lens of small-town India. The Plot The story follows Om Shastri (Rajat Kapoor), a wealthy, NRI businessman from New Jersey who is on the verge of bankruptcy thanks to the recession. He returns to his ancestral village in Uttar Pradesh to sell his property. Enter the local "gangster with a conscience," Munna (Manoj Bajpayee in a masterclass of deadpan comedy), who has kidnapped a local landlord for ransom. In a case of mistaken identity, Munna’s bumbling sidekicks kidnap Om, thinking he is an American billionaire.
Phas Gaye Re Obama is a must-watch. But Phas Gaye Re Filmyzilla is a hard avoid.
