JMicron Technology Corporation is a Taiwanese fabless semiconductor company. They are best known for making bridge chips that convert between different storage interfaces.

The "Generic SCSI Disk Device" label is a legacy artifact. In modern Windows 10, it does not mean you need a SCSI driver. It simply indicates the storage stack is using the SCSI command set over a different physical transport. The driver is already built into Windows and is stable for 99% of users. Most problems are due to power management, cabling, or enclosure firmware – not the driver itself.

Do not manually install drivers. Let Windows 10 use its native inbox drivers. Uninstall any JMicron-specific driver from Programs and Features. D. Drive Not Detected in Disk Management but appears in Device Manager Cause: The JMicron chip fails to pass the ATA IDENTIFY command correctly. This is common with shucked drives (removed from external casing) that have 3.3V PWDIS (Power Disable) feature.
