But lately, as I scrolled through three different streaming services looking for something to watch, I had a sinking feeling: I’ve seen all of this before. As consumers, we hold the power. If we stop clicking on the 9th Jurassic World sequel and spend our two hours on a weird indie film with no famous actors, the algorithm will change. I’m not saying to cancel Stranger Things (okay, maybe wrap it up soon). But I am asking for balance.
