The game forced a loading screen. Shin Budokai 9 logo in jagged font. Then, a cutscene began.
No voice acting. Just text crawling across the bottom of the screen in a font that looked like handwriting.
Then, the PSP boot sound crackled through his laptop speakers—but wrong. Slower. Lower. Like a vinyl record played at half speed. The usual white "Sony Computer Entertainment" logo appeared, but it was bleeding. The letters dripped down the screen in watery, pixelated tears.
The screen rippled.
