Switch to the openvr/oculus/openxr branch. And add -openvr to the launch options. The game runs pretty well with it and without any 3D issues like some older oculus games.

Elena Voss had not slept in forty-three hours. The coffee in her hand was cold, but she drank it anyway, watching the digital micrometer on her workstation fluctuate between 0.9997 mm and 1.0001 mm. Her target was 1.0000 mm. For anyone else, that was a success. For CYPrE 2016, it was failure.
Markus leaned closer. “A void that breathes at 212 Hz?”
“At CYPrE, insane is the entry fee.”
At the second booth, a Japanese team demonstrated a diamond-turned mirror with surface roughness below 0.5 angstroms. Tanaka touched the mirror with a gloved finger. “No contamination,” the lead engineer insisted. Tanaka held up a portable atomic force microscope image. “Your fingerprint’s lipid residue is 0.7 nanometers thick. You touched it three hours ago. Next.”
Elena gestured to the block, which sat inside a vacuum chamber. “It’s not the temperature. Not the humidity. I’ve isolated the vibration mounts. It’s… inside the ceramic lattice. A void, maybe. A defect from sintering.”
Elena, a twenty-seven-year-old PhD candidate from ETH Zurich, had submitted a last-minute prototype: a self-calibrating ceramic gauge block that could compensate for thermal expansion at the atomic lattice level. Her theoretical paper was solid. Her physical prototype, however, had a ghost.
VR itself is working fine with Euro Truck Simulator 2 using the Oculus branch. Other issues are the common issues related to the game itself, that's mostly VR performance is pretty bad if you are using big maps like Promods, and you will have to live the lower FPS and resolution
Need to opt-in to a beta and force the use of Proton to start the game in VR mode, but works without issues.
